Putting young people’s voices at the heart of the Darlington Ecological Corridor
A Habitat in My School
An educational project aimed at raising awareness among 5th and 6th graders at Bedford and Notre-Dame-des-Neiges schools about urban biodiversity, the creation of habitats to support this biodiversity, and the importance of ecological corridors.
The program includes an introduction to the Darlington Ecological Corridor and nature in the city, an exploration of pollinators through the care of a classroom plant and the sowing of native flower seeds, a planting activity on the school grounds, and a closing event to showcase the completed projects.
